High Holiday Services

There is something for everyone on Yom Kippur at Beth El. We hold both traditional services in the Sanctuary as well as a second service in Kessler Hall that has a good dose of tradition mixed with a nice complement of contemporary themes.apples

There are various children's services offered for ages pre-K through high school on on Yom Kippur. As has been our tradition for the past few years, our Second Day of Rosh Hashanah in the Sanctuary featured a unique atmosphere with a service that was somewhat abridged and also more informal, spirited, and participatory. The organ was not played in this service and Cantor Ness and our choir facilitated congregational singing featuring melodies familiar to all. Attendance and participation was inspiring!

In addition, new this year on the Second Day of Rosh Hashanah was the Havayat Hamishpacha: A Family Rosh Hashanah Experience for all ages. Parents and children were invited to join Rabbi Garber and Rabbi Sowalsky for a family service, an interactive parent and child learning, and a shofar blasting competition; it was well received by all.

Babysitting is available on the day of Yom Kippur. The High Holiday Booklet contains complete information about the services, tickets, seating, babysitting and parking.
