The mission of the Beth El Library is to support the educational, spiritual, and social roles of Beth El Temple by providing materials and space for reading, researching, and browsing by congregational members and staff. The library collection consists of adult nonfiction and children’s fiction in all media that enable members of the Beth El community to enhance their experience of Jewish life. The library aspires to provide excellent service to all of its users.
Ways to Support the Library
Funding for the library collection and library operations comes from donations. Please consider supporting the new Beth El library through one of these two funds:
- Library Fund: Donations to this fund support both the library collection and the library’s operations.
- Sylvia Clark Solomon Memorial Library Endowment Fund: Proceeds from this endowment fund are used to purchase books.
Library Wish List
The library has a Wish List of books, CDs, DVDs, etc. that we would like to add to our collection. Such a purchase will be recognized with a name plate. Please use the Contact form and a member of the Library Committee will get in touch with you.Gifts
We accept donations of materials that fit within our collection development policy. Materials should be Judaic in nature, in excellent condition, and in a current edition. Donors receive a letter of acknowledgment for their gift; no appraisals are given.
