Shabbat Morning
In addition to our regular Sanctuary Service on Shabbat morning, we offer:
- Babysitting for families with young children.
- Junior Congregation for 4th-6th grade Religious School students.
- A program for 1st-3rd grade Religious School students.
- Twice a month we offer Swimming in the Sea of Talmud, a 45-minute study session with one of our rabbis (no Hebrew required).
- Twice a month we offer Tumbling with Torah, a program for children ages 2-6, with gym equipment, Shabbat singing, cookies and juice.
- Once a month we offer Torah and Tefillah, a one-hour Torah study session followed by a lay-led Shabbat morning service.
- Once a month the Women's Rosh Chodesh group meets under the guidance of Rabbi Garber.
- During the winter, we offer our "Discussion" Shabbatot, where we start a bit earlier, have a guest speaker who lectures on a topic of interest to the community, and then follow up with a question and answer session at an after-service lunch.
Shabbat concludes each week with a Mincha/Maariv/Havdallah service that is held ten minutes before sunset.
Our Synaplex programming throughout the year includes Shabbat afternoon Seudah Sh'lisheet, as well as a number of special Havdalah services, such as "Havdalah in the Valley" held every January in Avon.
