BEMA Concert: The Power of Music

A dynamic and powerful concert will close the 2019 Beth El Music Season season! Feel the Power of Music, from an early 20th century piano masterpiece, to the swinging hits of the 1930s, to the get-on-your-feet rock of the 1970s. Israeli pianist Tomer Gewirtzman will perform Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in G Minor Op. 16. Fast forward with us to Frank Sinatra’s version of It Was a Very Good Year with Alan Piacenta, vocalist, and Sing, Sing, Sing, Benny Goodman with Chris Bonito on drums; Daryl LaTorra at the guitar; special guests John Mastroianni on clarinet and saxophone; and Alex Nakhimovsky on keyboards. We will rock with "THE NEW REMAINS" in their return visit to BET, performing: Beginnings by Chicago; Golden Slumbers, Carry that Weight, & The End, by Beatles; We Will Rock You & We Are The Champions, by Queen. Cantor Joseph Ness conducts.
