Supporting Our Future with the Torah Fund
Dear Women of Beth El,
The theme for the 2022-23 Torah Fund campaign is Chazak v'Ematz - Be Strong & Courageous!
The Torah Fund mission is to help optimize educational opportunities for our future Jewish leaders. When you contribute, you enhance the education of these future Jewish leaders at the Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS).
As the Israelites get ready to enter the Promised Land, the leadership transitions from Moses to Joshua. The Israelites and Joshua are instructed to “be strong and courageous” (Deuteronomy 31:6, 7, 23; Joshua 1:6, 7, 9, 18). The 5783 (2022-2023) Torah Fund pin represents 80 years of ever-increasing strength of the global mission of Torah Fund. May the graduates of our Conservative/Masorti institutions of higher learning “be strong and courageous” as they lead us into the future.
Our strong and courageous supporters have kept Torah Fund thriving for 80 years! We’re delighted to celebrate our 80th anniversary and to provide a "Plus $80 option" for donors to make an additional contribution above their annual gift in recognition of this noteworthy milestone.
Beth El has reaped the benefits of the education provided by the JTS, because Rabbi Rosen, Rabbi Tobenstein, Rabbi Garber, Rabbi Zerin and Cantor Ness are all graduates of the JTS. Most of the students at these schools cannot afford to be there on their own. The scholarships and programs funded by Torah Fund help them make ends meet. They can’t do it alone, and Torah Fund can’t do it without you.
Torah Fund would welcome your Benefactor ($180.00) or Guardian ($300.00) donations, and as a thank you, we will send you the beautiful pin shown above. We also welcome ANY OTHER AMOUNT that you would like to donate. Please consider an additional $80 in this 80th anniversary year.
Thank you for your help in supporting the future generation of Conservative Jewish clergy, teachers, and lay leaders!
Please make out checks to TORAH FUND and send them to me as soon as possible, but no later than December 1 at:
Beth El Temple
2626 Albany Avenue
West Hartford, CT 06117
Please note that this donation can no longer be made through your account at Beth El or through the Beth El office.
Sincerely,
Jill Jones Michelle Kunzman
