Our world has changed dramatically since the beginning of the century and even the last decade. Our public and private lives are challenged by new issues that were previously unimaginable.
Join Rabbi Jim Rosen starting on Monday, November 11th at 6:30pm for Jewish Ethics for the 21st Century. In this mini-course, we will explore some Jewish perspectives on questions such as:
—Accountability in public life vs. forgiveness. Which should take precedence and when?
—Is private morality a prerequisite for public service?
—Identity, nationalism and the individual — what do we mean by these terms and which ought to come first?
—What do expression and dignity mean in a Cancel Culture?
—Where do we start — our own moral selves or society?
And we will likely come up with much more! Please join us for some exploration and spirited conversation.
