Youth & Family Programs
Beth El and Your Family
The family is the key to the survival of the Jewish people, and parental involvement is crucial to the development of a child’s Jewish identity. Guided by these ideas, our educational program (together with our clergy and staff) provides many opportunities for family experiential learning.
Together, we explore the ways that Judaism can add richness to our lives. Our hope is that all of us, families and teachers, will be engaged, be inspired, be challenged, be fulfilled, and yes, be joyous as we learn together.
Mazal Tots
WHEN? 11am open play & 11:15am service every Shabbat morning!
Kids ages 0-5 years old are invited to Mazal Tots, where they (and their grown-ups) enjoy songs, prayers, and stories. This special Shabbat experience always has an active edible art project to go along with the learning to help deepen the Shabbat experience each week.
Mini-Minyan
WHEN? 10:15am - 11:15am every Shabbat morning!
Mini-Minyan makes it cool for kids @shul! This special service for 1st-6th graders highlights student leadership and participation with Dr. Eliyahu Krigel. Mini-Minyanaires participate in parts of the main service as well as enjoy our own special prayers, songs, games, activities and Shabbat fun!
Junior Congregation
WHEN? 10:30am-12:00pm on 4 Shabbatot in 2025-2026: Nov. 8, Dec. 5, Feb. 7, & March 28
All are welcome at this special Shabbat service for pre-b’nei mitzvah learners and their families. Junior Congregation focuses on prayer leadership and is an excellent opportunity to put our learners’ hard work and study into practice. All students are invited to lead, with pre-b’nei mitzvah learners leading prayers throughout the service, and post-b’nei mitzvah students chanting Torah or Haftarah.
Shabbat Club with USY
WHEN? 4 Shabbatot in 2025-2026: Nov. 8, Dec. 5, Feb. 7, & March 28
Hang out with Max and Marisa Beede from USY during Kiddush on the days when we have Junior Congregation!
Play games and bond with our amazing USY advisors in a fun and relaxed environment. All elementary, middle, and high school students are welcome to participate.
We look forward to seeing you at our family programs!
