Co-ed Softball
Spring is coming, the grass is turning green, and it can only mean one thing - Time for the Beth El Softball team to come out of hibernation and to start thinking SOFTBALL. The Beth El Softball team is eager to take the field and begin another fun season. Its time to dust off the old mitt, find those cleats and whip that body into game shape.
We will start Spring Training for the 2025 season on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the CIGNA softball diamonds and we are looking forward to seeing everyone come out and join in the fun. We are always looking for new players (with all levels of experience and athletic prowess) as well as veterans to join our team. Encourage your friends and fellow congregants to give our team a look-see. No long-term commitments are needed. Just come out to play ball when you can.
We play Sunday mornings (9:30-11:30) throughout late spring and into the fall at the CIGNA/Met Life fields off Simsbury Road in Bloomfield (on the West Hartford border).
Hope to see everyone out on the diamonds. PLAY BALL!!!!
Contact the Captains if you need further information and so we can have your email addresses to keep in touch.

MarMarch 20 , 2025God is Here: Exploring Metaphors for the Divine
Thursday, Mar 20th 6:00p to 7:30p
Join Rabbis Debra Cantor and Rachel Zerin for a hands-on exploration of different metaphors for the Divine. These metaphors are all deeply rooted in Jewish tradition, while broadening the ways we think about, talk about, and relate to God and the idea of the Holy. Inspired by Rabbi Toba Spitzer's book "God is Here: Reimagining the Divine," we will use text study, discussion, writing, art, ritual, and more to think about how language and metaphor shape our experiences - and how language and metaphor can either limit or expand how we experience holiness in our lives.
