Jeremy Schaap is an American sportswriter, television reporter, author and a thirteen-time Emmy Award winner. Schaap is the author of Cinderella Man: James J. Braddock, Max Baer, and the Greatest Upset in Boxing History, a New York Times best-seller, and Triumph: The Untold Story of Jesse Owens and Hitler's Olympics.

Join us as we discuss tales of the greatest Jewish Athletes, the role of athletes and sports in the arenas of human rights and social justice, and Schapp's favorite stories from his life in sports.


Schaap is the son of the late journalist and broadcaster Dick Schaap. Like his father, Schaap is an alumnus of Cornell University and a former editor at The Cornell Daily Sun. One of ESPN’s most respected and longest-tenured storytellers, Jeremy Schaap has been with the network since 1994. He hosts both E60 and Outside the Lines, ESPN’s showcase journalism shows, as well as the podcast The Sporting Life. In 2018, he co-directed 42 to 1, the acclaimed 30 for 30 documentary about heavyweight champion Buster Douglas. Schaap has traveled the world covering a wide array of sporting events ranging from the Olympics to cheese rolling. But he is best known for his reporting on worldwide issues, especially those at the intersection of sports and society.
