Fruit of the Vine: Israeli Fruit Wines Experience
Sunday, October 25, 2020 • 7 Cheshvan 5781
4:00 PM - 5:00 PMOn Zoom!Let's gather -- virtually -- for a toast to the Fall! Join us to taste the newest generation of fruit wines -- ones without any grapes involved! Learn how an Israeli winery is taking nature's bounty of fruits, and even vegetables and herbs, to create fine Kosher wines and liqueurs. The hour will include tasting notes on a pre-selected offering of wines, descriptive presentation of the process of creating the wines and how they differ from traditional grape-based wines, and recipes for beverages and meals. (Not only does their range of flavors make them perfect for cooking, but they'll last longer in your fridge, too.)
Enjoy a socially-distant mini cocktail party, taste new flavors straight from Israel, and learn a few new recipes, all while benefiting the Anja Rosenberg Kosher Food Pantry at Jewish Family Services.
Class on Fruit-based Wines: $10
Class on Fruit-based Wines and Three Top-selling Wines: $75
(passion fruit, pomegranate & lychee)
