Join us for Learning for All Ages! Choose from 3 options:
Exploring the Torah of Rabbi Harold Kushner z"l with Rabbi Jim Rosen and Rabbi Debra Cantor (geared toward adults)
An exploration of Rabbi Kushner's radical theology, how it is expressed in the world, and what his legacy asks of us today.
Tour of the Torah with Rabbi Rachel Zerin (geared toward children in Kindergarten through 7th grade; all are welcome)
Join us as we unroll the Torah and take a tour from beginning to end! Find special moments like the 10 Commandments, see how the words paint a picture at the Crossing of the Sea, find the letters of your name, ask all your questions about the Torah scroll, and more!
USY Debate with Jason Kay (for 8th-12th graders)
Time for things to get heated! Ever since Jews received the Torah, there has been debate. The issues have changed, but we have always argued, disagreed, and debated. Teens are invited to join together with Jason Kay for some great food and fun debate about current topics.

SepSeptember 13 , 2025Exploring the Machzor: A deep dive into the language, meaning, music, and origins of our prayers
Shabbat, Sep 13th 5:30p to 7:00p
Join Rabbi Rosen and Rabbi Zerin for this study session that includes light dinner/Seudah Shleesheet, learning, and zemirot/Shabbat songs. We will take a deep dive into some of the prayers in our Machzor (High Holiday prayer book), exploring topics such as the meaning of the prayers, the way they function in the service, the different biblical and rabbinic texts that they quote or refer to, new and traditional musical settings for the prayers, ways that music enhances the meaning of the text, and the history of how the prayers came to be a fixture in our prayerbook. Adults and teens of all backgrounds are welcome to join; no prior knowledge of Hebrew or the Machzor is necessary. Light dinner will be served RSVP required (click in to register!) $10 suggested donation per person -
