Yossi Klein Halevi is a sought-after senior fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem. He co-directs the Institute's Muslim Leadership Initiative (MLI), which teaches emerging young Muslim leaders in North America about Judaism, Jewish identity and Israel. Over 150 Muslim leaders have participated in the unique program. He is co-host, together with Donniel Hartman and Elana Stein Hain, of the Hartman Institute’s podcast, “For Heaven’s Sake.”
Halevi is the author of several books, including the recent Letters to My Palestinian Neighbor, a New York Times bestseller which has been translated in a dozen languages. Halevi’s 2013 book, Like Dreamers won the Jewish Book Council's Everett Book of the Year Award. He has written for leading op-ed pages in North America and is a former contributing editor to the New Republic. He is frequently quoted on Israeli, Middle Eastern and Jewish affairs in leading media around the world and is one of the best-known lecturers on Israeli issues in the North American Jewish community and on North American campuses.
This program is being underwritten by two funds within The Endowment Fund of Beth El Temple: the Sharon & Bob Efron Family Fund and Mathog Family & Yontef Family Endowment Fund, and by Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford.
Proceeds will benefit the Israel Emergency Fund at Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford.

Annual Turkey Drive for JFS
Sunday, Nov 23rd 9:00a to 12:00p
The need for turkey donations is great this year, as there are so many in our community who risk going without a holiday meal. Thanks to your generosity last year, we were able to feed all of the JFS families! This year we know we need 300+ frozen turkeys to feed the Greater Hartford families who need our help. Please bring your frozen turkeys (preferably kosher), pop your trunks and one of our volunteers will be there to assist you. If you cannot bring a turkey, a cash or check donation (made payable to Jewish Family Services with "food pantry" in the memo line) is also very much appreciated. This event will take place rain or shine! -
